How big of Halibut do you typically shoot?

I can imagine that might be a little intense, shooting one of those monsters. Do they lay as still as normal flounder before you shoot?

California halibut are rarely bigger than about 50 pounds. I've shot a few in that range but the average take is about 10 pounds. No problem and a lot of fun...thanks for the query, Otto
