Going to Kauai for 10 days in mid-April. Mostly it's a family trip (spring break for the kids) with mostly non-divers. Me and the wife (leading the trip) are pretty experienced divers - and admittedly are very spoiled. We've been to Kauai before, and we thought the diving was nice last time (although not quite up to what has spoiled us elsewhere - that's OK) - the normal stuff around the south shore/Poipu area, all of which we enjoyed. But last trip we didn't get a chance to dive Ni'Hau.
I know Ni'Hau is best in the summer, but was hoping we might be able to swing it this time. Does any dive op make this trip in April? Recommendations? Otherwise, is there anything special we should be looking for at that time of the year (mid-April)?
FWIW, we already have our accommodations set, and will be in Poipu for half the time, near Princeville the other half.
Thanks.
