Just thought I'd ring in here to tell all of you up here with me in North Florida that I'll be heading to the Keys to do some diving in Key Largo and possibly a day in Key West. This'll be my first time going to the Keys, either on the surface or underwater, so hopefully I'll have some photos when I get back if I can acquire a camera. Advice for the trip?

Skip diving in Key West. There is great diving from Key Largo down to just north of Key West, in or around Big Pine. Go to Key West to party!

Have fun! Nice to see you posting again.
Looking forward to doing Navarre and Pensacola again some weekend this year, now that I have a working wrist, jellyfish or not -- or one of the springs!

I read your update about the Black Bart and missing the resident bull shark. I've heard it's a female and cruises around between the Bart and the bridge span nearby.

No doubt, it was there shortly after I put cold steel through an AJ, figured a shark or two might be around shortly, but I was getting a bit too chilly to wait around for my chance.

If you are not going that weekend, then the free offer still stands.other than that have fun.See if you can do the heavy metal tour( the big wrecks Spiegle,Duanne Bibb Eagle etc.)

I went there last year. It had been about 18 years since my last visit. Any idea of where you are staying and who you are diving with? I found this site very helpful http://www.flkeysdiving.com/

I visited just about every big dive shop I saw. Some of my favorites are the reefs, French, Molasses, Horseshoe, and Conch. Christ of the Deep is a must see if you've never been there. They've got some nice wrecks as well.
