5 of us brave souls met up for a late morning dive at Old Garden Beach today. I wasn't prepared for the rocky entry which shows how long ago it was that I last dived there! We surface swam out a ways (low tide) and followed a 60 degree compass heading until we couldn't feel our fingers anymore and turned back. Viz was pretty spectacular, a solid 20-30 feet. Temp was about 43 degrees, 29 degrees above water. Did a 53 minute dive with a max depth of 33 feet. Saw one good-sized lobster, one tiny scallop, a grubby sculpin, and a school of pollock. Not a bad dive to end the year on. Here's hoping the gear dries out a little bit before tomorrow's dive!
