I use #24 on my primary reel and #36 for my emergency upline. One of my buddies uses parachute cord and another uses rope for an upline. I don't want to carry that much bulk but I am happy to dive with someone who does :D

Too late, her 24# line will go on to live life in a cave. She can't have it back :p

I've always been fine with #24 in wrecks. I had it snap once - but that was because it was old, old line, that I was just using up in training simulations.

You were close! The fact there was a knot in the middle bothered me, so I unwound my spool and measured it anyway. I figure I had 90 ft of 24# on the spool, and I measured 62't of 36#. So, I am going to guess ~66% if it is wound tightly - which I did.

So, now I have two 30' gap spools and a ~60+' finger spool. :hm:
