Looking for Cheap hotel- Belize

We are planning to stay about 1 week, not quite sure of our budget yet....as were assisting with the payment of our son's wedding in Guatalamala which is my excuse to visit Belize : ) Figure a couple $K for room, food and diving??

Caye Caulker looks very nice esp for diving. Are also hoping to do a bit of exploring and would love to see the ruins. Is there enough on Caye Caulker to do besides diving?

Since you are coming from Guatemala - I would suggest that you stay a couple of nights in San Ignacio and do the ruins/touring and then head on to the cayes for diving.
