Maximum is only theoretical. It's been tested and approved by Nikon with the following - 2gb for standard SD, 32gb for SDHC and 64gb for SDXC.

Check the manual, and on their website, you can probably find more specific info under FAQ. Sealife usually tests card sizes exceeding the recommended maximum, and they won't guarantee proper performance/function beyond that limit. On my old Reefmaster Mini, the recommended max is 1gb, but I have used 4s and 8s without experiencing any problems.
