MC Storage Pak - Elastic Worn Out

Is anybody else having issues with the elastic on their MC Storage Pak wearing out?

Seems to only last for a season or two. The pak is nice when the elastic is new and it's able to hold a SMB in place. But is a nuisance when the elastic wears out and your SMB keeps falling out between dives when the seas/boat ride gets a bit sporty.

Any alternatives? Full replacement cost is a but pricey when all that's bad is less than 12" of elastic.

Never noticed when did it start to wear out, but I've never put my SMB.
I have no solution to offer, except that you can stow your SMB, either at the left d-ring or, the space between the MC Storage Pak. Better stil, get a pocket!
