Hmmm odd.
I have about 8 dives in MB.
Worst part was the entry/exit.
Other than that I had a good time for a rock wall dive.
There were some big bugs where I went.
I'd do it again.

cool gang. thanks i will probably hook up with the local dive shop and dive with them or find out the best place
you guys rock.

wheres this spot your talking about?
I would like to check it out

the bay isnt a great place to dive, try the shores or the local wrecks. theres plenty of stuff to check out in all levels of diving.

I think mech was refering to the Jetty. Its a good spot for bug hunting but can be very rough depending on the day. I would suggest the Cove, Hospital point, childrens or any of the areas near the La Jolla kelp beds. Point Loma can be good, but the entry is tough. If your really gun-ho then head up north to Swami's only for those who can walk the stairs and a bit of swim but nice once you're in the water. All of these non-boat entries require an early am dive. Or in the case of the jetty a late pm is fun.

Of course as the summer progresses and the water warms up, the wrecks can be fun.

Sorry for not getting back to ya'll sooner.
Yes the spot is at the Jetty.
Check out the south side jetty wall near the flag at...I'm thinking it's a Sherrifs Office but might some sort of life gaurds office.
Parking and set up area are as good as it gets.
Parking is 40' from the water with a nice lawn between the lot and the rocks.
Try to have some mercy on the bigger ones (even though I know that smaller ones will take their place), and try not to snap a leg.
Good luck and have fun.
Andy

ive dived at this spot probably 10 times, its actually a lifeguard station and is located right next to dci. last time i was there during lobster season all the lobsters were gone.... traps everywhere. heres a photo taken by mario at one of the "cool spots" at the lj shores.[BR]
