Two dives, Mola Mountain off the Monterey Aquarium and the Steam Engine on the deep Shale off Del Monte beach.

Octopus mating behavior? or a fight? These two were in a close circle of five Octopi on the shale, about two feet between each. They approached each other once as I took pictures of one, then parted. The second time, they approached, spread their tentacles, entwined them beak to beak and then parted quickly.
