i think it did cover it but we weren't very inclined towards gear and its care and stuff... mainly due to the fact that there is no way ill be going diving by myself for the nex couple years lol and will be going diving with them...but anything i want to know i can always call him up or sum lol i live on a small island
 
Only you are responsible for the care of the equipment you use. Even if it is rental gear, you need to check it and be ready to make small repairs if needed. A simple thing like an o-ring or a wire tie can ruin an entire day's diving.

I suggest that you lose the mindset that someone else is going to take care of you.
