I feel your pain. Been trying to find a housing for Sony DSC V1 for months now.

Surprise Surprise - Work is boring...

Geoff

Fortunately I know the housing is on it's way - I was told I'd get it about the 3td August. Ikelite have a housing for your cam (go to http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/sony_dscv1.html or http://www.camerasunderwater.co.uk/d_stills/sony/ike_v1.html) They're a bit pricey but aongst the best housings around. It seems from www.wetpixel.com that you're not going to get any other housing for the V1.

By the way, what do you do that work is always so boring?

Simon

Thanks for the info on the camera housing. Ikelite definitely make the best housings of the lot from what I have seen, but R6000 is a fair way out of my present budget.

And Quantity Surveying to answer your question. Yourself?

Which is the reason I bought a new Canon S1is. The housing from the Oly C700 I have is R6500, but the Canon housing for the S1is is only R1800 (the camera cost me 5k) - Go figure.

I just wish the damn thing would arrive. We had a magic dive in False Bay on Saturday and I wish I had my housing because there was an octopus doing battle with a large swimming crab.

Anyway.... all good things come to those who wait....

BTW, I am a datawarehouse consultant
