Two dives on the Sherman this past Sunday Aug 16th. Cool wreck but vis was among the worst I have dove, below 24 inches at times. Needed to be virtually shoulder to shoulder with the buddy to stay in contact; if he moved a foot or two away he quickly became a dim blob that I had swim towards in order to avoid lost contact. Plus there was a thermocline....... Low 80's water temp with 60 feet of vis down to 35feet, then bang, right into a cold brown cloud in the low 70's, dark, no vis below that. Great fish schools mixed with cudas visible while hanging on the 15 foot line, though. At the top of the boilers the water was just starting to clear and warm. I'd still go back, though, and chance it. And I'd bring a warmer wet suit than my 3 mm.
