Need a good reel for wreck/cave dives?

I use a Salvo 400' but immediately reloaded it with #36 for wreck diving. I think it has about 250' on it now but I did not measure exactly as I only need it to have at least 170'

It is a very nice reel but I can only compare to a reef my buddy has. I like the salvo better as it is lighter and simpler to use. And of course because it is mine :wink:


I just fit 270' of .36 on it, so if the reel is full you have 250+ish
 
I had an OMS wreck reel and changed to a salvo about a year ago. They are both nice reels but the salvo is easier for me to use when multi tasking.
 
We just bought a Salvo reel. Plan on using it for cavern class this weekend!

u want one that is easy to use i like Halcyon id stay away from the old dive rite reels some over there newer stuff is ok
