Brand new to this site, but looking forward to learning a lot of stuff. I'm traveling to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic this month and need some advice on where to dive and with whom (dive company). I only want to do reef or shallow wreck dives. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to SCUBAboard!

Good Luck & Good Diving.

I have only been free diving off DR w/ the whales.

Hello and welcome! Scubaboard can provide you with a wealth of information. Poke around the site, you'll be amazed at the knowledge you can gain. The regional forums can give you some very detailed information on specific dive spots, try here: Greater Antilles

Have a look at "debbiesCarribeanreview.com" it's got good info on resorts, shops and diving.

If it's an option, go to Bayahibe / La Romana instead of Punta Cana. Much better diving there.
