I tend to have a very stressed feeling if my buoyancy isn't working out well, especially if I'm still sinking and I want to have stopped. I've found that concentrating on my breathing (long slow inhale, long slow exhale...like in yoga) really helps me focus on solving the issue instead of reacting to it.
