Just joined here. I asked my friend Corey, who is a diver, about a scuba forum and was directed to this site. I am actually going to my first class tomorrow evening. I hope to be certified in a couple of weeks (private classes).

I believe that I will learn more about the gear and the sport so many of you enjoy through this forum and my own experiences. See you around!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I cannot wait for my first class tonight. I do not believe I have ever been this excited about something before.

My wife is taking the class with me as well. I am not sure if she is going to like the dive site for our cert since it is a lake and she cannot see the bottom (has a fear of cloudy water). She just told me about this so I have to talk to the instructor and work something out to help fell better about the cert dive.
