Welcome Winenut, as Scott says... it would be a good idea to consider a refresher since it has been quite a while since you went diving and you are getting a new set of gear.

Safe diving and hope you find good information and new dive buddies amongst the local SB members in your area.

cheers,
Maria
Thank you. I was going to as soon as my gear comes.
I was first certified about 33 years ago and have always been
a safety first diver. Now carry around a Master Diver, Nitrox
and several other PADI cards. Appreciate the comments!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

... and welcome back to diving!

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Will DO!

Howdy!

I just want to join the others in welcoming you to SB - the biggest in the world and best!

After a 4 year dry spell, you may want to go back and do the OW course over. A lot has changed, and skills get rusty.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving discussions. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.

Okay, I don't think we knew about the Master Diver before when we were suggesting refresher course. You see, we meet a lot of former dives who made OW once for a cruise or college credit, then dropped out after a few dives. Your background is much more developed. Talk with an Instrutcor about it, or PM Sharkdiver00, as she is one.

BTW, I don't dive dry, but if I lived up there, I think I'd be a DOG, too. Met Dick Long a couple times at DOG Day Rallies. Quite a character. Looking forward to seeing him at the DEA show next month. Matt above was a DUI DOG of the Month, you know?
