Hi all just got my nex-5 with nauticam housing and a z-240 strobe.
But i am well unaware on how to connect the strobe to the camera.
I have the optical fiber cable that i purchased also, and i'm guessing the round screw part goes onto the sensor on the strobe, but not sure where the other end goes into?

some help would be greatly appreciated!

The fiber optic connector on the Z-240 is the small, clear part on the bottom of the strobe. The Nauticam housing has dual fiber optic connectors on the front of the housing, above the lens, and in-line with the camera's flash. If the other end of the connector doesn't fit, you don't have the correct cable.

the other end does, it fits into a hole.
so do i have to have the sony flash inside the housing on the camera too?

ah i see, so the sony flash has to be on as well, i got it all to run, but doesn't that mean that the sony flash will also go off with the strobe?
are they both meant to go off or just the strobe?

I am only using one strobe, and i see there are two holes where the flash shoots through on the nauticam housing.
i have plugged one of the optical cable ends into one of the holes to pick up the flash. but the other hole is still exposed and thus will flash on the subject when shooting. would that affect the photo in any way?
