This will be my last day at DEMA, as I have to go to Cali to attend to a family member. @stuartv, I probably won't make it over to ScubaPro today as I already have a full dance card..

Thanks, Pete. No worries. Burhan has promised me he'll try to get over there. :)

OK, the coolest thing I saw wasn't in an exhibitor's booth. I saw Willie Cline starting to sit down with a couple of peeps in the Bahamas booth. I went over just to say "hi" and he introduced me to Anders and Jonny from www.Iupa.se. They had a SC rebreather emergency oxygen mask. It keeps recirculating the oxygen and scrubbing it. Their bottle, about the size of a coffee mug gives an hour breathing time. Wow. Set this up with a DD bottle and you'l hours and hours of O2. Nt sure how their scrubber would hold out, but it's an interesting concept.

Sounds cool! Did you catch the price? http://www.iupa.se/ doesn't seem to be a valid domain

As I suspected, Scubapro have nothing new in computers. No Seabear (I heard "fall next year"), nothing in color, a ratty old rebranded Subgear with QD and not much else. Major disappointment but not unexpected.

Did anyone go by the Oceanic (or AUP) booth? Whatever happened to the Pro Plus X announced at last year's DEMA? Do they have anything to say about the recent discontinuation of the Veo1 and Veo3? Any news about additions to their computer line? I keep wondering what the effect of selling PPS to Aqua Lung will have on Oceanic and Hollis, especially, new, innovative products

Yeah, I've since figured out that the "I" was a lower case "L". They couldn't tell me the price.

In regards to the Seabear/SP/H3 computer(s), SP won't confirm any release date and doesn't expect any computer to be released before the end of 2017. They won't release anything before they are certain of its design reliability and quality. So don't hold your breath!!

The main contenders in the technical/techreational dive computer market now are the Ratio and SW with both having hoseless AI versions (Ratio has several versions of the AI computer in watch and wrist configuration).
