1.6 is fine if you're not exerting yourself. My deco gasses are set to 1.6, especially when using O₂. However, I'm not familiar with any that are fixed at 1.6. Can you name any?

That's true. My buddy got bent once well within ND limits because he had drank too much the night before and was dehydrated and worn down. He had just broken up with his girlfriend the evening prior. He shouldn't have dived.
