Just to update: I'm off the idea of that light. I think the suggestion to find a dive rite for about the same point was a good one. There is a barely used one for sale on this forum now that looks good. I've also had two PMs so am looking sorted. My only hesitation is being tempted by this one:

ARCHON

It is 3000 lumens if you need to go that bright, and the brand seems well thought of, but I'm just waiting to hear back on how well and to what extent you can narrow/focus the beam. It says between 8 degrees and 110 degrees, but I need to confirm that. It is $305 or there abouts, and the Cree chips it uses are good ones.

edit: the same light can be seen here http://www.miflexhoseshop.co.uk/acatalog/Underwater_Torches.html but for about $520. It doesn't show as adjustable, whereas my emails to china have indicated it is.

I currently get 180 min with 2 heads on my video rig with 1 battery.

As for a single head, I haven't had the patience to measure it, but usually can last a good 4 days of diving before I usually decide to charge it (no indicators of battery drain ... But they pop up quick in the last 30min or so of operating charge) for my main light.
