I recently spoke with a good friend of mine who used to live in Orlando who recommended Diving Solutions out of West Palm Beach (www.divingsolutions.com). I contacted them via e-mail from the website (tracy@divingsolutions.com) and made a reservation for the afternoon 2 tank dive on Sunday 10/14 (check-in 12:15, departure 12:45). Cost is $54 with tanks, $40 without. From my friends experience and the website, they seem like a pretty high class operation.

I would have rather gone in the morning - but it's a 3 hour trip from Orlando. I will be leaving from the Walt Dinsey World Dolphin hotel at 7:30 Sunday AM and plan to stop for an early lunch along the way. If anyone is interested in coming along, please let me know! (FYI - I'm pretty new at this, as this will only be my 7th or 8th dive - depending if I can get out again here in Ohio before this trip).

Thanks to everyone for your input!!

I have had to cancel this trip. Had some minor outpatient surgery last week - and the Doc says no heavy lifting for 3 weeks (he considered weight belts and a tank heavy lifting - go figure!) Anyway - hopefully I'll get down to Florida later this winter and can try to get to West Palm. I was really looking forward to my first Ocean dive too!
