Just saw in the OP's post regarding Lake Erie- DUDE! There is some amazing diving in Lake Erie. Over 300 charted shipwrecks and more being found every year. I have had as much as 100 feet of vis on some of the wrecks in the Eastern end of the lake diving with Osprey Charters. Cold water, yes but so are the quarries in Ohio. There are wrecks accessible from shore as you get closer to Cleveland. Broken up of course thanks to the ice but still offer nice easy dives. And shallower the temps are not so bad once we get later into summer.
