I HAVE BEEN DIVING I PANAMA ON THE PACIFIC SIDE BOTH AT CONTRADORA ISLAND AND AT COIBA, CONTRADORA WAS VERY ROUGH AND TURNED UP WHEN WE WERE THERE. COIBA IS A SMALL UNINHABITED ISLAND ON ONE SIDE IT IS A PENAL COLONY AND ON THE OTHER A NATURE RESERVE. THERE IS A LIVEABOARD THAT VISITS THERE BUT THE NAME ESCAPES ME. WE WERE THERE EVERY WEEK WHEN I WORKED ON WINDSTAR CRUISES, THE CORAL IS NOT GREAR IT VOLCANIC ROCK, BUT LET ME TELL YOU THE MARINE LIVE IS UNBELEIVEABLE MANTA RAYS, DOLPHINS THE BIGGEST MORAY EELS I'VE EVER SEEN AND WHITETIP REEF SHARKS ALMOST EVERY DIVE. IF YOU GET TO THIS AREA ASK TO DIVE THE SITE CALLED RANCHERITA.
