I found a supplier with the croquis pencils in stock. I'm negotiating a price with them for what they have on hand which is more than I need for myself. I don't have pricing yet but it won't be the ridiculous $50 each that I'm seeing on amazon. PM me if you would like some.

Regarding the stackable pencils. I used one for a short time. I found that the end would come off and then the individual leads would fall out of the pencil. After this happened a few times leaving me trying to catch all of the leads and put them back into the tube, I stopped using one. I also didn't like the attachment options for the pencil since you need to keep the end free to cycle the leads. With the croquis, a piece of 1/8" bungee inserted into the hole on the cap with the end melted and flattened has held forever. I haven't had the bungee or cap come off yet when doing reef check surveys or cave diving with the pencil attached to a dive rite wrist slate.
