My inflator button on my Pioneer doesn't seem smooth any more.
It actually was mother to press down one time but I've got it working.
It needs to be serviced.
I'd rather do it myself than send it in.
Do I need have some replacement parts on hand like seats?

Is this one of the inflators that was recalled?

No Wendy it's an older one.
I think they just recalled the eclipse....but I could be wrong.
I'd just hate not to dive for a month or so for something that I could take care of myself.

If you want the inflator thats on the older Halcyon BC's is just a POS Trident inflator and you can buy a new one for about $14.00. With mine I just soak it in vinegar for no more than 30 sec and then I rinse it for 2 min in clean water and work all the buttons while soaking and rinsing. After that it should be good as new. Just make sure you don't soak it for more than 30 sec or your o-rings are going to get eatin.

Mine has the same problem - plus it would slowly inflate throughout the dive. I just got a generic to replace it, but I hate the generic. I have the Halcyon inflator series 27 that has the mouthpiece and button on the same side... very easy to use.

I miss it. I've tried soaking and playing wif it. If you got any ideas, let me know.
