Plastic screw fasteners

Is there any trick to getting these things to stay tight? I thought I got the ones on my Zip Touch pockets really tight when I installed them on my Express Tech, but now one's missing and the others were loose.

Plumbers tape? You know the thin tape used on taps and fasteners.

I have some of that. But would that keep it tighter? I thought it was just for better water sealing.

I had one disappear (either break or unscrew), and so checked the rest. One was very loose and the other broke in the process. I replaced mine with stainless book screws / sex bolts and loktite. Bulletproof.
