Thank you for that tip mudhole-- I hadn't even thought about micro-cracks in the tank. Next time I dive I'll breathe down the pony and then swap out the valve, and the next fill should tell me if I've got a problem in the valve of if it's the tank itself....I'll post what happens here so you have the rest of the story!
