Point Comfort, TX. Any diving nearby?

Hello,

I am from Indiana and will be working in Point Comfort, TX at the end of August. Does anyone know of any decsent local diving near Point Comfort or in the general vicinity? I'm mostly interested in some shore diving, but would consider boat diving on the weekends. I have done a few fresh water lake dives in TX, but never in the Gulf.

No shore diving but you can take a trip from Freeport to the Flower Gardens or do a rig dive from Port Aransas.
