Polls, back to top?

How many people have noticed, and don't like the fact that when someone responds to a poll, but they don't make a new post, it still brings that topic back to the top?
I use the "view new posts" feature alot and have noticed that posts will show up at the top even when there isn't any new information, other than a new response to the poll. In my opinion I don't think it should be set up that way but I figured I would ask what everyone else thought because my opinion isn't really worth much (maybe about 2 cents).

I have no problem with the post coming back to the top, that way if your curious you can check and see it updated. I just wish the "last post" date wouldn't update, so that it showed the actual date of the last post, and not the last poll vote, with the name of the person that made the last post.
