Pro Plus 2 firmware version

I just purchased a new Pro Plus 2 and I'm curious what the "current" shipping version of firmware for this model is?

Also, are firmware upgrades something that can be done by the user/owner?

Was just wondering since some of the really high end Dive Computers have user-upgradeable firmware as a way to stay up with latest tables/algorithms/fixes. Seems like a good idea as more and more data is amassed and algorithms gain finer detail.

The firmware in both PP2s I've had is 2A.

I don't know about the PP2, but the firmware in my Atom 2 had to be upgraded by my LDS. I'm sure I could have done it if Oceanic had made the file available to me, but I would rather let the LDS accept the risk.

Tables and algorithms rarely change, and fixes are very rare as well. Upgradeable firmware is important to me in PC hardware, but not my dive gear.
