Again, thanks for all the helpful advice. I just purchased up a Mares Dragon BCD and an Oceanic deluxe weight belt that comes with pouches. I can look at fine tuning the weight issue later on. I was thinking more about it and figured that the thing that was bothering me was that I wanted my dives to last longer as time really flies when I am down there... :idk:

As top techniques to improve air consumption, keep in mind streamlining, buoyancy control, and simply moving less. Maintaining neutral buoyancy so you are "swimming less" to move vertically or maintain a level depth can be a big factor. Also, air consumption will decrease with experience, due to improvements in the areas I just mentioned plus others. However, you are a big person, and you physiology, especially lung size, will always be a factor.
