I agree with you, Woody!!! Poor engineering.

I only have a little Canon point and shoot housing and it started leaking on the second day of the trip. Nothing profuse, just annoying droplets despite using many moisture munchers. The first day, I handed it up to someone and fetched it from the camera bucket. The rest of the days I handled it totally on my own. Now I'm wondering if one of the buttons got bumped making it just a tiny bit leak prone.
 
It's just bad practice to stuff all the cameras in a rinse tank like that. Every liveaboard I've been on they would dunk it then and put it right on the camera table.
