Did three dives with the rig yesterday. Batteries were fine during the first two (on a single charge). I made sure the lights were on medium power by locking them in. Recharged them for the night dive and everything worked fine.

Color temperature on some of the daytime footage was still yellow-green. I'm thinking it could be the white light bouncing off algae and encrusters when I film in tight places. No fault of the lights. When I film in open areas without nearby "walls" the color seems fine in almost all cases.

Most of my subjects are filmed within 1-3 feet so I keep the camcorder on AWB and use the lights. If I'm shooting subjects farther away, I use MWB.

Did two more dives with my son yesterday and everything seemed to go fine, although I haven't started editing that footage yet (I did scrub through it to check last night).

Did a night dive Thursday. Charged both Sola 1200s for the same amount of time (well past fully charged). Used both lights on the medium setting. The Sola 1200 on the right side of my housing went dead about 20 minutes into the dive. Just stopped... no contact with anything that might have triggered the switch as I was swimming along midwater. The Sola 1200 on the left side worked perfectly throughout the dive and still had plenty of juice left according to the battery indicator lights on it. Looks like the battery in one of my Sola 1200s is not holding a charge.

I would call Paul at L & M and arrange to have it returned for a new battery
Steve

Plan to do just that in two weeks. Want to send the light in while I'm traveling out-of-state for a month and don't need it. L&M has always done right by me.

That is exactly what happened to me, one light went out after about a half hour. Chargers were acting differently from each other, so don't know whether it's a light or charger.
Called L&M and spoke with Ryan, he said to send the kits down through Marin Bamboo Reef- where I ordered them from- and they would run diagnostics on them. They seem very helpful, and I do like the lights.

By the way, I was told not to run them out of the water for any length of time (I didn't).
