Thanks. Have a potential to dive Utila (friend of the family has a place there), and sounds like its worth looking in to. Who's your favorite operator there?

We don't stay in Utila town where most people stay and where most of the dive ops are (least attractive part of the island in our view but lots of bars and restaurants).
We stay in a rental home on the south shore across from the Utila Cays and dive with Anke at We-Dive Utila, she serves the south shore and picks us up from the dock at the house we stay in. Very small operation, we've never dove with more than 5 other people at We-Dive. Anke has been leading dives on Utila for about 20 years and really knows it well.
The south shore and the west side are very pretty and our preferred locations on the island to stay (the north side is also really beautiful but it's uninhabited, at least for now, we dive the deep walls there most mornings). The reef runs parallel to the south shore for 3 miles (never more than 50' from the beach), so we also spend a lot of afternoons snorkeling the reef from the beach at our rental. Regards.
