Just an update. Thanks to the 91 readers who viewed my original post. 694 donkey/animal lovers signed the petition. I would love your signature if you share concern for the welfare of the Bonaire Donkey. The Donkey Foundation in the UK has a petition as well with 4000+ signatures. The meeting is tomorrow. Send positive hope that there is compassion in creating a humane solution. It is not too late to sign the petition.

I have not had an official press release from the Donkey Sanctuary in some time. Last I knew the donkeys were never going to Haiti to become beasts of burden but for their meat in trade for fruit trees. Ya, our leadership here in some regards is questionable. In this regard, anyway.
