hmmm my mIRC is not working...it's not connecting to any servers..could that have to do with anything that I am on a Router now?
 
Yeah tried that...it always comes up with "Unable to connect to IRC server"
 
No, stay away. Danger, Danger! I was on a motorcycle chatroom in Mirc and started talking racing bikes to this girl that seemed to know more than did-she was a big fan of Duhamel and the Bostrom boys...long story, short-5 years later we're married and expecting our 1st child.
Please learn from my example, heh.
 
sounds like a great idea.

when I'm not at work, and/or not diving, I'll check it out.

But I agree, it would probably help to get it going if we pre-arranged times for everybody to meet there.
 
Like any irc channel that's not a split off from another well established channel, it'll grow slowly. Different timezones is the bane to having a lot of people on at once, but helps to have some one there at more times. There's a chan for the more technical discussions as well, #Tech_Diver. You can be in as many chans as you want, and all channel names start with a #. With all the thousands of chans on Dalnet, it's amazing there's not been a scuba room, I've searched .

I hope it takes off well, it'll be a great way to keep the interest up in the winter ahead.

I'm glad there's some interest in the chatroom, i've met some people on it allready and i hope more of you will find the way...

Like Vixen said it will take some time but i'm sure we can make it work.

Clarification I posted earlier I have been trying to drum up interest in a #Solo-Diving Channel for a while, as soon as I get 10 people who commit to support the channel I will put it in gear, it will be a channel for the independent, capable self-sufficient types who don't like to be preached to, and dive solo for their own reasons with no apologies zeN||
