U got it, and it works as advertised now as well as it did then, to the AirII did go by the wayside a decade ago...
I'm still using the hardware from one of those. I have replaced the bladder twice.
I use a Glide 2000 and Rec Tec wing from scubapro both with a chest strap. I do not have it tight and if I am carrying a torch I clip it to a shoulder D ring and put a lanyard through the chest strap - I use the torch still clipped on. You won't believe how many times this has saved my torch form descending to the depths......
