January produces great diving conditions between cold fronts. Fronts bring wind and waves, and occassionally, cancelled trips. Water temps are usually in the low to mid 70's during January and February.

Ditto on that. Some of the clearest water I have seen down here was in January. I recall one day with at least 120 feet .. the reef looked like there was not even any water on it -- it was that clear.
