I have an older Freedom BCD. It has some sort of valve behind the lower left pocket that is leaking. What is this valve and is there a fix for it?

Please bring it into your nearest Sherwood dealer for inspections and they can help you determine the best fix.
Safe diving,

I just picked up the same BCD and air is gushing out of the "mystery valve" under the left pocket.. There was some sort of rubber gasket holding the valve flush.. When I took it off, the valve fell back inside the air bladder.

Is that valve supposed to be "free floating" and the gasket holds it tight and creates the seal? Any help would be appreciated.

The valve is an emergency inflation valve that is suppose to use CO2 to inflate the BC. I had to take off the inflator hose and fitting and get the valve out of the bladder. Then I patched the hole that was left with a tire patch and "Aquaseal". It made a permanent solution to the mystery valve.
