I've searched a good bit, even reached out to a few people that look like they've done it on FB. Anyone do it or have any insight?

There's a video of an old bridge and I read that under the bridge is 45'-60' deep. I'd like to check it out. Will be there this weekend, but not sure if the Mrs. would like me evening mentioning diving on "our" weekend getaway, lol... but still I'd like to know.. you know... for next time:)

Or maybe I'll talk myself into taking my gear and checking it out, lol.

Watching for the future ...

' "our"weekend getaway' - methinks thou dost be playing with fire.

OTOH, there is plenty of room in my basement for you bank system and all, we can compare our Rixes. Everything you own will fit in a 20' trailer, right? :wink:

Everything I own? By the time she's done it would all be burned to a crisp🤣🤣

Good thing she doesn't know about the Rix or the banks!!

I decided to have a good weekend and not piss the wife off, so no diving, lol.

Did a little recon at Indian River Inlet. Stopped at the bridge when I had time which wasn't with the incoming tide. Depth is supposedly 45'-60'. I did find someone who has dove it. I attached a link (sorry it's only on FB). Guy said that video was 15 years ago. It shows the remnants of the old bridge. He said the viz is usually anywhere from 6" to 3'.

Would have to get lucky with a nice clear incoming tide but I would absolutely dive it. One word of caution, the current was ripping when I was there so if anyone does be careful.

Cheers!

Glad you're still with us!

6" while not unfamiliar, is not an attraction. 3' OK. Sounds like High Slack Tide would be the ticket and definitely a float and flag!

We were farther down on the bay side on Sat afternoon and I was really surprised at how clear the water looked. Given where we were was only 3' deep, but could see the bottom plain as day, much clearer then I expected.

At the very least under the bridge would be good for some flounder.

Here is a night dive I found;
