PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
For those of you who occasionally like to dive without all the tanks and scuba gear, there is a freediving clinic coming up on Feb. 25-28, 2006 which is taught by some of the world's best competitive freedivers. From what I've heard it's excellent. Myself and some other folks from the ADP class are signing up. I signed up for the Basic class, but I'm thinking about changing to the Intermediate.
The Basic (2 day) and Intermediate (4 day) courses both start out at Malibu Divers, then a pool session at Pepperdine, then an open water session at Casino Point. The Basic folks end it after 2 days, and the Intermediate folks stay on in Avalon for an additional 2 days.
It's kinda pricey ($345 for the Basic and $595 for the Intermediate), but from what I've heard this is top of the line training, including a lot of safety training.
Here's the website:

BTW, I'm in no way associated with this course whatsoever, nor do I know anything about it other than what I've heard from others. So if you go and don't like it, don't look at me
