I leave the port on for the duration of my trip. I only take it off after my last dive day so i can pack it properly in my carry on.

What would be really nice is if Oly came up with a wireless connection like my dive computer. Then I wouldn't have to open my UW case at all and it could stay sealed for the duration as well. One less thing to go wrong maybe?
