I only wear my snorkel when working with students.

Otherwise, my snorkel stays in the dive bag. I had one operator "require" you do take a snorkel with you on the dive, so I pulled mine out of the bag, and used zip-ties to secure it to my rig.

On one dive, it was really sloppy on the surface, and it would have been easier to have a snorkel, but you can use the regulator as a splash guard and breathe around it without using any air from your tank and keep the water out of your mouth (or just use the air from your tank).

this has been discussed before, but I just cannot stand having the snorkel on, unless I am "snorkeling" so I usually keep one in the BC pocket like everyone else. I've only seen 1 really good foldable snorkel made by Oceanic, anyone know of other brands that make a good one? Perhaps one that is easy to take off and on when needed? Jimlap? Which one do you use?

Been done to death many times in the last few weeks alone. Personally snorkle used when snorkling. Not when diving. It lives in the kit bag or occasionally on the boat. Its never been on a dive and never will

no snorkel.(unless diving in laguna beach CA where you can be ticketed for not having one on you. Then its a roll up snorkel):D

I only wear mine if in a class or for a long surface swim. Otherwise, I avoid it whenever possible.

I was sitting in the back of the school bus and just happened to have my snorkel. I tied a string around it and tossed it out the window and amused myself with it's erratic antics as it bounced down the road behind the bus. I got "skills". N

I am just curious as to how many of you use or keep a snorkle attached to your mask at all times. I dive in monterey Ca and I don't keep a snorkle attached at all times due to kelp entangalment issues. Only using it if I have a very long surface swim or will be diving in a high current area. SO what do you do and why?

Here's a few answers...:D

But, how did you fit it into your locker with all your other stuff like nunchucks & bow staff? Awesome movie...
