Spring length with XXL Jets

I just got my 11" springs (3932K54) from Mcmaster-Carr today and was playing around with them. It seems like they are too long, but then again I have no idea how tight they should really be. I just hooked the ends over the stock hardware and they are much too loose.

Who else has put springs on their XXLs? How long did you make the spring?

It all depends on your exposure gear, and size of foot, Hex. Obviously, my size 12 thick wetsuit boots are going to need a larger spring than someone wearing a pair of tropical booties on their size 8.

If someone was trying to wear a XXL jet with a size 8 foot it would go up to the knee.
