I've seen swimmers use snorkels to learn to swim and they also use swimming fins. The right kick technique is required. Watch a few YouTube videos. One lap freestyle, next lap breath-stroke.

Well there are swim fins for it... but the answer to your question is: obviously no. If he did, he'd know the snorkel's right out.

Agree, was a poke at his general trolling of the board and writing breath stroke rather than breaststroke.

Still, it'd be interesting to see someone doing a "freestyle lap" in those fins.
