What kind of tech classes are you looking for in Texas? Deep? Cave? Gas? Rebreather? or all of the above? There are several shops that do some tech classes but maybe not all types of tech. Anything more specific? The Texas Swamp Divers would be glad to help!

I would first say that this is an expensive version of diving and you are looking at investing a lot of time and gear.
With technical instruction it is best to meet instructors and see if you and they have a similar approach to diving and interests. Learning technical diving is rather like an apprenticeship and it can last a while. Check with friends and other local divers and see who teaching in your local area.

Good friend Rob Davies teaches inspiration rebreather there- however they do a lot of technical classes.
If you are interested in a specific program for a certain type of training you might want to contact that training organization for a starting point and a list of local instructors.
If you are interested in traveling and a great instructor I would recommend Runaway Lobster. Lesley is out of South Florida and she teaches the type of diving she does for fun herself. This would be an awesome combination of vacation and learning.
