The deepest pool in the world

Reaching the bottom---or close to it---would that count as a deep dive in the AOW class???..................but, it's not an open water one.....

Nemo 33 say PADI do not consider their pool to be an open water site.

The Dive shop I work with does use this as a deep dive in the AOW course from time to time. Where we are located in Northern Italy, we have one local lake which is horrible, Closesest good diving is in Pula, Croatia or Portofino, Italy. They are about 4 hours away.

Your dive shop is cheating. Thats a controlled environment. Shoukd not count as deep dive.

One of the main training issues for the deep dive is getting deep enough to demonstrate narcosis. Seems the 130 ft pool qualifies for that.

But other than training, it looks like a nerd fest to get in that thing for any other reason, has no recreational appeal to me.
