We are planning a trip (probably 3-4 weeks long) in Asia in August. Hubbie has had leg issues so would like to avoid kicking against the current. Would love recommendation on any destination with not much current. We are into muck diving so may check out Lembeh but anywhere else?

Lembeh is easy to combine with Bangka and Bunaken. Not sure about the currents there, but if you want to avoid it most dive centers/areas have dive sites with little to no current - or you can just do a drift dive and follow the flow.

If you have your own suits bring minimum 5mm and a hood for Lembeh in August - more if you get cold easily.

We just returned from Dauin and loved the diving (mostly muck), but on 2 or 3 dives had to fight a (mild to moderate) current. Our dive guide knew beforehand that there was a high risk of current, so we could have chosen not to do the dive.
